After a big meal at the Pine Mountain Grill, 24 students in the 2010 ACP workshop traveled in caravan across the border into Virginia to attend the weekly Old-Time concert at the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, VA. It is a tradition of the workshop brought back this year to allow students an introduction into some of the culture of the region, a chance to shoot some great features and dance. There they were met up by photo coach Sam Dean of The Roanoke Times who followed the group back up to Kentucky to officially kick off the workshop Sunday morning.
